Your identity and results

It is very important for a person to look at the different phases.

The phases in order are:

  1. Identity
    1. A person needs to first define who he/she identifies with.
    2. e.g. I believe I am a people person (says a manager)
  2. Values
    1. With the above identity, the person will now need to understand what values are needed to be a people person.
  3. Skill set
    1. With this identity defined, you need to understand the skill sets needed to become a better people manager and work towards it.
  4. Behaviours
    1. Once you firmly believe in the identity and have identified the values and skillset needed, there will be a conscious change in your behaviour. 
    2. A person can also imbibe the skills and make a conscious change.
  5. Results
    1. The above will reflect in the results.
    2. It will also give a clarity if the environment is correct for the person to grow with the identity he/she has defined for himself/herself.
    3. Sometimes, it may lead to a new job/change of boss/change of environment etc.
