Your identity and results

It is very important for a person to look at the different phases. The phases in order are: Identity A person needs to first define who he/she identifies with. e.g. I believe I am a people person (says a manager) Values With the above identity, the person will now need to understand what values are needed to be a people person. Skill set With this identity defined, you need to understand the skill sets needed to become a better people manager and work towards it. Behaviours Once you firmly believe in the identity and have identified the values and skillset needed, there will be a conscious change in your behaviour.  A person can also imbibe the skills and make a conscious change. Results The above will reflect in the results. It will also give a clarity if the environment is correct for the person to grow with the identity he/she has defined for himself/herself. Sometimes, it may lead to a new job/change of boss/change of environment etc.

NLP Communication Model

What is  NLP Communication Model ? At the conscious level, our brain will filter out anything it finds irrelevant at that point in time because of the deluge of incoming information. Our brain receives information from: Our eyes Our ears Our skin (touch) Our nose (smell) Our tongue (taste) All the other information received remains in the unconscious level. Note that one of the primary functions of the conscious mind it to protect and preserve and it can do that by ensuring things which are irrelevant (at that point in time) are removed. For example, as we are doing a chore, listening to an important podcast, we are not concentrating on the touch of our clothes or the temperature of the bottom of our feet. These information are being passed along, but our conscious mind deems them irrelevant (at that point in time). There may be times when we may have unconsciously responded to a task told to us by someone but may not have consciously heard it since we were engrossed in somet...

What is NLP?

What is NLP? NLP is short form of " Neuro Linguistic Programming ". Each one of us has 5 senses and this is how we gather information of the world around us. It is how we make sense of the world. Your brain processes the information to create your own version of the world around you. In NLP we call it your Internal Representation . This is based on your experiences. Linguistic refers to the language (both verbal and non-verbal - what we see and make decisions about). Programming is about taking control of your own mind and beginning to operate it in a way that it gives you more of what you want in your own life and enables you to assist others in doing the same thing. NLP helps you learn how you can achieve the goals you set consistently. As per the founder of NLP, Dr. Richard Bandler, NLP is an attitude. What attitude ? They are: Curiosity Child like curiosity. Children are curious about anything and everything. Curiosity of how things work. Experimentation  Willingness to d...
